TRANSVESUBIENNE – 13th &14th of may 2017
It is known as one of the hardest MTB race in the world, taking place in the south of France, from the Mountain to the sea in Nice throught the hardest trails you can find.
Saturday 13th may : PROLOGUE
500 riders are getting ready for the Prologue, a 12km race between la Colmiane and Saint Martin Vésubie, through the old little street of Venanson village. A nice “warm up” for most of them, but also very important for the top pilots, as there is some time bonus to win for the next day!
Starting by wave of 20 riders every 5 minutes, the Prologue was a great overview, in a shorter version, of the Transvésubienne: hard climb, steep and technical downhills, and great landscapes!
Alexis Chenevier (Scott) took some risks in the Prologue, and it was worth it as he won more than 2mn on his rival Konny Looser. If 2mn may not seem so much important on a 6 hours race, you will see that it can change everything!
A well deserved craft beer, brewed in the village, was waiting for the riders after the Prologue at the Vésubia Mountain Park.
Sunday, 14th may : the RACE
6:00am, the sun is setting up slowy while the starting tape gets up quickly. 500 riders are released in the mountains for a 6 to 12 hours race.
The Transvésubienne is known for the difficulty of its track, in downhills as in uphills, and the riders have to carry their bike in several places!
The E-Bike riders had their specific start and category, with a motor and battery check. The ranking goes for the EBIKE SERIE by Loisibike.
The new finish line offered the riders a great view on the sea and a final downhill 100% in the Transv spirit

Désormais, il y a un rendez-vous d’automne pour tous les addictes de l’esprit TRANS avec la TRANSVALLEENNE TRANSWEST qui verra sa première édition organisée le 01 octobre 2017.
A vos crampons et rendez-vous sur la ligne de départ à Gréolières les Neiges pour une arrivée sur la plage de Théoule sur Mer dans 5 mois.
